Providing innovative, effective support programmes in reading, speaking and listening. Enhancing your school’s drive towards excellence.

What people say

Education Works' innovative, effective support programmes in speaking and listening, reading support and school improvement are being well received across a wide range of schools and organisations. We're passionate about what we do and are proud of the impact we're having.

I have observed and monitored the quality of Clare’s training and conference leadership with regard to Talking Partners, Nurturing Talk and Speaking and Listening. Clare is extremely knowledgeable about her area of expertise of speaking and listening and is a dynamic and focused trainer with national and international experience.

Helen Morris, Reading Recovery Trainer

Your support has enabled me to link the ideas with the bigger picture of Planning for Language and effective guided talk. I have implemented many of your strategies within Talking Maths and it has enabled staff to have an invaluable overview of the importance of language. You are a true source of inspiration!

Carol Phillips Sandwell Literacy Consultant

Very well presented and resourced. Clare is a very knowledgeable, inspiring and humorous trainer. I left feeling very enthusiastic. Very well done.

Bristol Primary teacher following 2 day Talking Partners training

We made stories with toys, with the tiger and elephant.... I said a long one. I said a funny story and then I went home and made some at home.

A child in the Talking Partners programme

feedback has been extremely positive...our people have gone away energised and wanting to deliver programmes straight away...they've really enjoyed the atmosphere, the teaching and how much they've actually learnt

Lee Keohane, Harrow International School, Bangkok

I trained as a trainer for TP last March with Clare in Somerset and thoroughly enjoyed it. Since then I have run the program, trained all of the TA's in my own primary school and have so far trained 6 other schools. I think the program is fantastic and in 20 years of leading literacy it is the best thing I have come across. So far I have only received very positive feedback from the schools involved so I am keen to see their data showing impact. Many thanks for such a fantastic program.

Katie Speechley, Literacy Leader and EAL Advisor, Primary School, Northampton

I've now had the opportunity to speak to the different teams who shared your training last week and without exception they have said it is some of the best training they have ever had. They are excited about the impact it can have on the pupils and the potential it has for them to engage with teachers and schools in a different way. They are now discussing how they can develop it within the team. Once again, many thanks.

Reading Recovery teacher-Leader

Thanks for a really powerful training event.

A good mix of teaching, discussion and activities to practise skills and understanding - an enjoyable and well presented session.

The bespoke package of support the school was able to develop with Education Works has transformed teaching and learning in our school. The staff looked forward to working in partnership with the consultancy and the results can be seen in all areas of the school and in the language used by all the staff and children. I would recommend Education Works to any school.

Dan Burns, Head Teacher, Oxenhope CE Primary School, Keighley.

Our Single Plan now has pride of place on the staffroom wall and we have already completed actions and are on track with our milestones. :)

Jane Drake, Head Teacher, Addingham Primary

I would like to thank you for your advice and feedback throughout the year. I feel that the staff have benefitted greatly from you being here and from the working wall ideas, as well as the clarity you have brought to a large number of our working documents. I have always found your advice to be constructive and positive, and it has been a great help this year.

Will Riley, UKS2 teacher, Sandy Lane Primary, Bradford

Sam: Many thanks for the work that you have done in school. Every member of staff really enjoyed working with you and you have given them lots of ideas and food for thought ready for September.
