Our Mathematics Consultant, Sam Adams, regularly works in classrooms alongside teachers – supporting progression across a Mathematics lesson and across a series of lessons.
Sam’s three consecutive mornings’/days’ input will allow an opportunity to plan with teachers, teach alongside teachers and review daily with specific next steps/points for action.
Sam will support your teachers to develop a progression across a unit of work – a progression in terms of building children’s ‘basics’ understanding and in their ability to problem-solve each aspect of each ‘basic’.
Using an approach called ‘pinging’, Sam will support your teaching staff to plan a clear teaching sequence of work over a series of lessons.
This progression is then displayed on the classroom’s Working Wall so that planning genuinely becomes planning into practice. This support is all about getting the best outcomes for children.
